payment protection plans rejected 86% of complaints in 2006.

Is that complaints rather than claims? or just a typo?

I know companies will often fight tooth and nail not to pay out, but a figure that high ( if true) is shocking.

I know. I couldnt believe it when it was first put up. It does include all versions of PP and we know many of those are next to useless but an 86% rejection overall just highlights that if you pay less to buy rubbish then dont expect it to offer the same cover as the proper plans that probably cost a little more.

You may as well not pay anything at all with some of these plans.

  • i work in the building and construction industry (architectural technician) and it would appear nobody will cover me now, i have applied for various income protection policies with different providers and they have all turned me down  Anybody any advice on this ????

dunstonh - i think that figure of 86% is really scary, i wouldd imagine if alot of people were aware of this they wouldn't take out these policies.
