Luc, I am really interested in hypno-birthing. I didn't know anything about it until after I gave birth, but think I sort of experienced it.

As I was getting the very worst contractions, just before you push, I had this weird mental image of being in a long corridor with lots of doors (it was actually my Gran's old house), and as I walked along it, and the pains hit, I saw myself slamming the doors shut, and the pain eased.

Sounds very weird, but I had unbelievably little pain, and a fantastic, uplifting, amazing birth experience. (don't worry, I know how lucky I am!! :rotfl:)

Thanks. The MW suggested it because I have anxiety attacks due to something that happened when I was younger and she thought it would help me before any examinations too. I'll give it a go - I have nothing to lose and might just gain a great deal;)

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Ohhh....I'm sorry. But yes, I think it would help with anxiety. I was terrified before giving birth as I had a bad experience with Ryan, but this time I was really calm.
