Hello
In the process of buying a new car and the dealer is trying his best to get me to take out a GAP Insurance with them.
I hear its a lot cheaper online but who are the good and reliable companies?
I had a look at Car2cover.co.uk and Surfandprotect.com has anyone had any experience/info on these.
Or can anyone recommend a good company?
Regards
Alan

Try http://www.click4gap.co.uk/ not that I have had any dealing with any of these companies.
Look for FSA registration and who the underwriter of the policy is.
You need to be clear what GAP you are getting and then if you even want it.
Short fall, Total Loss, Return to value, ect they all mean different things when you come to claim.
If you want the policy try hammering the dealer on his price his markup is likley to be more than 100%!!0 -
Hello Alshine
I used www.ala.co.uk. I called them and they explained all the different types of cover and advised which was the best for me. The even gave me a discount code PRM1053 for family and friends.
Hope this helps.0 -
Why do you need it? Many insurance companies will replace with new in the first twelve months anyway. Buy car and then decide whther you need it and look around.0
