Aah i need to do that then as on .com the box is ticked n when i looked on the acm there was a thing on there but i never looked at it as i had the parenting one as well and when i looked at that it just said i was in the club so never bothered looking at the health one as i thought it would be the same lol

I know I'm a member as the discount shows up on health products but I still get the reminder on the ACM. so when you've done it don't worry about it appearing again.

I might get shot for this but oh well.

This past week or so, I have seen a fair amount of competition and nastiness in this thread that isn't called for. The thread is all about helping each other out so we can get the best out of boots for our personal needs, whether that be to get nappies for our bairns or gifts for the family at christmas. We are all on this site to money save. I personally find the negativity of some posts recently really disheartening especially when there are people who post on this thread with very real problems and yet they do their best to stay positive for us all and to encourage us all.

I don't personally think there was a need to post the facebook address like it was, which in my opinion seemed quite maliciously done, the facebook group gets regularly mentioned along the thread.

Yes a glitch would be nice if it could be posted and not be sold out within minutes. I don't think KJ has done a particularly bad thing, she has pm'd the people who she knows have babies and will benefit from the glitch the chance to get there first to ensure that they do benefit and don't miss out on what could be really helpful for them. Secondly she has also said if you have a baby or relative with a young baby or are pregnant then to pm her and she will let you know. I personally don't see why anyone has a problem with this? Obviously it is a little fishy if she gets 30 pm's from people who have only just joined today, but she has also said she will put the glitch on for us all to see after a certain time giving more people the chance to get in touch with her. And although she said 9pm I think we should all remember that KJ is pregnant and has just cooked a full roast and I am sure she had a very busy day, I am sure none of you would want to deprive her of the chance to put her feet up and chill out for a bit.

If I have offended you then I apologise in advance but I don't see why we can't just continue trying to help people, none of us get it right all the time and yeah some of us give advice that is a bit wrong sometimes, its human nature to make mistakes, people don't need to be stoned for it.

very well put ikkle (sunday name as such an important post) I have resisted the temptation to say much the same re some posts, thank you!

Well said ikkle87, it's like being at school again when you have someone bragging `that I know something that you don't, nah nah nah. I'm not telling because you are smelling :p '. [/2p]
  • im in agreement about the malicious posting of the facebook address.
& i knew, no matter what the glitch there would be people with something to say. ah well, cant please everyone all on at once can we?
  • It is not very exciting as my youngest is 14 yo. But I did keep having to check because I am nosey too. Glad I have finally found out. My dd is expecting (not the 14 yo)but planning to use terry nappies so I won't bother with this myself. I think it was right to give the mum's with babies a chance first.

  • Yay! Thanks KJ - Ordered 2 packs each for my sis and close friend! :j

Out of interest, I only ordered 2 packs each because I don't know how long newborns fit newborn nappies (on average) - can anyone tell me?

    ;)
"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".
    :rotfl:
  • Very well said ikkle87 *clap clap*
Well done for finding the glitch kj :)
