Anyone know good software to record TV programmes?
I have already tried loads, but so far can't get one to work. All of them record the picture but not the sound. Except one, a Nero 7 disc came with something or other that I bought. So I gave it a try. It is the only one I have tried that records the sound, but it has a big problem. The scheduling doesn't work, it asks what time you want to start recording, what time you want to stop, works out the length of recording, tells you when it will start and how long it will record for. Then you click the OK button and it starts recording immediately instead of at the time you told it to.

Thanks, I don't recognise the name or the site, so I'm just about to try it.0 -
Well I tried it. Not very configurable, but it did find the channels and after a few teething troubles I got it working.
Unfortunately, it records but the file it creates is no good. When you play it back you get nothing but the scene that was on the screen at the moment recording started, and other programs either show the same scene or refuse to open the file as it is invalid.
It records in AVI format out of the box, and I haven't found a way of changing the file format yet.
If I can change the file format to some that works I'll keep it. Won't use it to watch TV as K!TV is better, but if I can get it to record in a file format that works it will be good enough for me.0
