Where's the fault

I recently purchased a new cordless phone BT Freestyle 250 which works fine until I connect to the internet. I then can not make or receive calls due to the interference on the line. Tiscali say it is the phone provider and BT say it is the internet provider. Any help would be much appreciated as I don't know who is right and I just can't use the phone at the moment.
So please and thank you to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Check your filters, if they are correct the problem lies with your ISP. They have to contact BT to deal with the situation if it is a fault. One thing you need to do is check your phone isn't the issue, some cordless phones have known to cause this, have you tried a standard corded phone to see if the same issue occurs?0

That's not right. In fact it's rubbish. I have 2 cordless phones in this house and have no problems, so does my daughter and loads of friends too.0 -

That is a sweeping statement, I have had a BT analogue cordless and now a Panasonic DECT cordless, the base station is next to my desktop with four remote handsets and I have never ever had any problems with ADSL interference from any of them.0 -
If that is the case I would say half the population are having problems with their broadband.innocentmonda wrote: »cordless phone always create difficulties
