I thought about matching in between the smallest middle quote ( price quoted + VAT ) and not charging the VAT.
So what will your turnover be? Will it get to the threshold within a couple of years? If you are buying products, then you will be paying VAT so it will only be your time/profit which will be VAT-free. Presumably your clients will be non-VAT-registered individuals rather than VAT-registered companies.0 -
Who knows. It's an industry I've never worked in before. But have no doubt, I will probably eventually be registered for VAT.
I personally would be content with X y + Z a week after paying the supplier. Working to live.
My customers/clients will be non VAT registered, and my accountant deals with my finances. Presumably, clients/customers won't be interested in how I financially run the business, they will effectively be getting the same middle quote as apposed to me going in and under cutting my competition by £100/£200/£300...( which without VAT, the quotes are still substantially overly priced, and suck a fu**ing rip off, it's unbelievable) Ultimately and Effectively, I'm still under cutting my competition, just dressing it up a little bit different.
Or I could just make myself a free lance sales person and let my supplier deal with the extra faff and take my cut.LittleVoice wrote: »So what will your turnover be? My customers/clients will be non VAT registered, - - - . Presumably, clients/customers won't be interested in how I financially run the business, .
Non-VAT customers can't reclaim VAT, of course, and therefore the less VAT they pay, the better (even if you were to recoup some of that advantage from them within your price).
If your customers were VAT registered then, other things being equal, they would almost certainly prefer to be paying VAT which they can re-claim against their own invoicing.0 -
I've been getting farmiliar again with reading up on my business plan/marketing guides etc, and acting in haste , I realise it probably wouldn't be the best idea with my initail pricing idea.
I forget not all customers will base their purchase on price and that I will project the non-profit benefits etc etc
On with the weeding.bam bam bammy Shore by The Revellers...do do de de do.0
