Tenant has lost job, now dealing from flat & hosting dodgy visitors

Hi, one of our tenants in a 2 bed flat has lost his job, is yet again behind with the rent, and now we have been told some dealers turned up at the flat at the weekend. The other very nice female tenant says he was also visited by a lady at the weekend who he paid for the visit (!) and that money has now gone missing from the flat.
Any thoughts on how to proceed. Should we report him to the police? WE want him out of the flat but are aware of the law re unpaid rental as we beleive it has to be 2 months in arrears.
Thanks for any advice!

Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T

I doubt you can report him to the police, as you have no proof. His flatmate might want to though.
When did his tenancy start, and for how long was it? Did you register his deposit?
Depending on the answers above, I'd issue him with a section 21.0 -
Thanks for reply Sooz. Flat is in Scotland so no tenancy deposit scheme there. Is Section 21 applicable in Scotland does anyone know? Tenancy is for 6 month assured shorthold which is up in 2 months. Could you advise where would I lay my hands on such a Section 21? Ive suggested flatmate might want to report him to the police.Feel free to thank me, it makes my toes tingle and my ears go warm :T0

~If he is using drugs in a flat you own and you know about it and do nothing - you can be prosecuted for allowing premises to be used for taking drugs. Have a word with him - see what his side of the story is.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

sorry, you didn't say you were in Scotland. I have no idea about the rental laws there, except that they are different to those in England & Wales. Do you have a Scottish LL association you could join?0
