Flying Air France/Delta: baggage allowance? pork? seating?

Hi, I'm flying to New York on Thursday with Air France/Delta.

I can't work out if the baggage allowance is 23kg or 20kg, their website keeps freezing. Does anyone know?

Also, I don't eat pork. Do I need to tell the airline this, or should I hedge my bets that the food won't contain pork?

My e-ticket (booked through expedia) has a seat number on it. According to seat guru, this is one of the worst seats on the plane! It doesn't recline and is right next to the toilets. Do I have to sit there?

Thanks for any advice. I'm not really looking forward to my journey as I have to leave my house at 8pm Wednesday night, won't land in New York till 7pm the next evening English time, then have to spend several hours travelling to my apartment. I'm missing a nights sleep and would really like a comfortable flight. :)

I booked my ticket on Air France website, and I can use the reference number to log on to their website to select seats, meals etc.

Even if you have not selected any special meal on their website, they will offer passengers 2 choices, so if you don't eat pork, just pick the next one.

If it's to do with the Expdia.com.au cheap tickets then I started a thread to cope with all these type questions.

I could choose my seats on the AirFrance web-site

    Meals.
Be aware that depending on how quick you get served on the flight you may NOT get two choices of meals...
  • Thanks for the replies. I've finally managed to log on to the Air France website but I can't see anywhere I can choose my seating. Any ideas? :)

Read my post above yours :confused::confused:
  • It doesn't have anywhere to select my seating, I've looked at that other link and there still isn't anywhere.

It also says NO IN FLIGHT MEAL. I thought you always got meals on long haul flights!

Dmg's post has an answer (though it's not a good one!)

Is it an AirFrance flight or a Delta one?
  • I'm really dreading this now. Two days with no sleep, five hours sitting in the airport before I can check in, and no food. And a 28 hour journey door to door. Wish I had a magic travel machine and I could just wake up in my apartment in Brooklyn. :(

It's Air France- Delta, I don't know which one. I booked it with Air France but then it said something about Delta.

What's the flight number and from where to where (NYC, EWR, LGA ?)
