Hi, Could you give me some advice, My daughter is going as part of a group to disney in the states.
She is taking £1000 spending money (yes I have seen that the exchange rate has gone from $2.09 to $1.77 )
What is the best method to take/spend the money over there.
She is thinking of taking $200 cash - $200 travelers cheques - and I have just applied for a nationwide flexaccount.
Where is the best place to purchase the Cash and Travellers cheques
Cheers
Steve

have a look at this http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/ it shows the best places to go for cash, exchange rate has fallen further. Has to be the nationwide credit card if possible, think they may have changed their terms slightly on the flex account though someone will know for sure.0

Article in the Times recently about loading a Mastercard with currency at a preferential rate. Thus the user would be able to use it at 'holes in the wall' and shops without the punitive charges. You are only able to use the money with what you have loaded the card with. It can be increased online.
See https://www.caxtonfxcard.com/ as an example.
Sorry i haven't used it yet but on my to do list for next holiday0
