Sun Life of Canada Shares

What do people think of these shares? My wife has some that she got when they went listed on the Canadian markets (she holds an endowment policy with them) - it was a nice suprise to see how much they are worth. I know very little about the company and wondered if anybody had a view on whether they are good long-term bet? Cheers.
