After I was switched to another provider without my permission and the lengthy period it too edf to move me back I ended up with debt on my gas bill so opted to move to a pre-pay meter to pay it back. I quite like it as it's one less bill dropping on my mat.
The latest statement had a note to say they didn't have my usage data so I called them and it transpired that since they had done a meter change last October after the meter failed no debt payments had been taken. This was Thursday-I called today to ask if it had been resolved and they confirmed yes it had. I then jokingly remarked that they should write off the debt for my trouble. The agent went to talk to his manager-came back and confirmed that he had wiped the whole £130 debt-Result.
Just shows it never hurts to ask !!:j
