There will be one competition which runs on-air over the whole week and has one prize of a furnished ground-floor two-bedroom apartment in the Al Andalus Thalassa complex in Vera, Almeria, Spain as shown in the competition segments broadcast on GMTV this week.

Specific Terms and Conditions for this Competition

• The competition is open to adults aged 18 years or over who must be UK residents and holders of a current EU passport which is not due to expire before 31st January 2009, excluding employees and their immediate families of GMTV, QSD Ltd, Key Mare, their agencies or anyone else professionally associated with this promotion.

• In order to acquire the apartment, the winner will be required to travel to Spain at GMTV's expense within three months of being informed by GMTV that they are the winner so that they can carry out certain administrative requirements relating to the ownership of property in Spain. This includes attending in person at a national police station to apply for a Fiscal Identity Number (know as an NIE) for which the winner should allow at least two full working days in Almeria. The NIE could take up to six weeks to be issued by the Spanish authorities.

• GMTV will pay the apartment's service charges (known as Community of Owners' fees) for the first year but after that they will be the responsibility of the winner, at present they are just under €1,300 per year.

• GMTV will advance the winner a sum equal to the the initial set-up fees for water and electricity for the apartment. The winner will be responsible for the payment of all water, electricity, local rates and rubbish collection charges after that.

• The winner will be required to comply with all laws and regulations relating to ownership of the apartment as established by the Spanish central government , regional government or local council where the property is situated and in particular the rules established by the Community of Owners where the apartment is located . GMTV shall not be held responsible for any changes in the law or their interpretation or court order which may affect the steps the winner need take to acquire title to the apartment or affect the winner's future enjoyment of the apartment.

• GMTV have employed the services of Spanish lawyers to check title and undertake other enquiries into the property and to advise on contractual matters. The winner will be required to follow the advice of those lawyers and comply with their reasonable requests including granting them a Power of Attorney before a Notary Public including such powers as those lawyers deem necessary to acquire the apartment for the winner and deal with related matters.

• Should the apartment become unavailable for any reason, GMTV reserve the right to replace it with a similar prize of equal value.

• The winner will be a correct entry selected at random from all entries

no mention of veing able to rent it out? 1300 EUR seems a bit steep, for service charges..

they did mention on the program about what you could do with it and renting it out was one of the options

I used to live in Costa Del Almeria and its a beautiful lovely place - some of it is really untouched - not at all like Benidorm etc
