Natwest Loan Credit Scoring

  • Well took my slips into bank they photo copyied them and sent them off on monday, I have a funny feeling it will be decline once it goes to underwriters, I know i have received terms of loan and how much payments are, I know they credit check you before, but dont think I have a chance, so not expecing it,at the same time they asked me whether i wanted a credit card, but that was declined there and then over telephone, but my loan was approved over phone

How long does it take to get a descision once they get your documents

My reckoning is that if your declined for credit card, then the loan will be declined as well, as my credit is certainly not perfect, but bad, but i run my account perfect, I also think the upgrade of my account to current will not happen either
Do they credit score you for the cash isa savings as well, and once they receive your wage slips at the underwriters, what do they do, do they do another credit check, and then say oops no
Also i am just thinking why did they ask whether i wanted a loan when i rang up to upgrade my account to a current, and other credit facilities when i have step account, I know my salary as always gone in for over a year, and account been run good, but I was led to believe that whilst a step account is in use these facilities were a no no.
Anyway its just me panicking, only for the enivitable!!!!

Give them a call and ask.

Because they are employed to sell additional products to generate further revenue for the bank.
  • i think I will wait in limbo

I am just wondering whether there credit scoring is a little relaxed, as I believe, people with not so good credit can get loans and accounts upgraded, and I would of thought when you apply over the telephone and ur credit scored the apr of the loan would be higher than a 13.4%

And how come discharged bankrupts get credit and normal current accounts it beats me, or is it just business to Natwest.

I am just wondering what there criteria is at the moment
  • still waiting to hear, but its when the branch sent dcuments over, they were not very helpful in my branch, and just wanted to go through application again, which I did not want happening again, and being credit searched for lots of applications again,

Do they normally just put funds in account, or do they contact you first,or do they drag there feet, as |I have heard

I took my documents to the branch on mon afternoon, and then they had to get to the lending centre, so as its only thurs, might be a little early yet.

What was their reason for wanting to do that?!

  • it was all part of the agreement to get the new loan was to downgrade my account but when the loan didnt go through I was able to keep my current account....

currently waited 3 weeks for them to take my name off my joint account with promises from the customer care centre to ring me back they havent, was told after signing the forms it would be a week and it isnt...

everytime I try and change something with natwest it is a joke...always makes me chuckle they let me have a 3k OD, let our joint account have a 3K OD let me have a 7.5k loan....but trying so hard to sort it all out and you are up against a massive struggle with them and they decline me for everything despite always having paid my other loan and in fact it is very nearly paid off...but mind you I guess they like getting their high interest out of me each month :)
