  • Hi,

I have used these, they are quite reliable (at least in the O2 Mini-S variant), and connect well over GPRS. I think they make awful phones, but as a PDA they take some beating.

Has a slide out qwerty keyboard, which is good for e-mail and so on.

Downside - no 3G and not much use for telephone calls (but does have bluetooth so that might make the phone use better, I suppose.) Also has Wi-fi, but I'm not sure the processor is up to running Skype.

You might find http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=248 useful too.

    Regards,

    White

    Debt-free and Proud!
The XDa mini is really chunky, just be aware.
The XDA IIs with built in slide keyboard, although larger in size, was the best phone I've ever had, far quicker and easier to use than my sony ericson 960i and nokia n95 phones I had.
The XDA IIS makes an excellent skype phone, the 400mhz xscale cpu can be overclocked to 580 if needed, the OS is quick, lots of apps, compatibilty with DOS. Even a fully fledged playstation emulator!
Useful feature for me was remote desktop, can login to your windows PC and control using your phone.
As said, only missing feature is 3g but wifi hotspots are everywhere nowadays and provide a more reliable and often quicker connection.

    Brilliant phones.

    WHAT ABOUT THE Qtek 9100???

Is it the same as these phones?

O2 Mini-S with a different badge! Not the same as an XDA IIs at all.

    White.
