I have inherited this wireless router and I am looking at how to set it up.
on the system requirements it says it needs internet explorer 5.0 or higher.
I havent used IE for ages ,I use opera or firefox and anyway the IE I have on this PC crashes after 2 minutes.
do I really need IE or will I be able to get it working with firefox or opera?

No reason why it shouldn't work with another browser, as far as I can see...0

I wonder if it needs IE just for the initial set up though?0

plug it in wired to a computer, make sure you wired connection is set up to "Automatic" or "DHCP". double click your network connection, and in the other tab, it should give you an ip address, but more importantly, a default gateway.
type the default gateway into Firefox, or whatever, and then you'll be prompted with a username and password box..
admin is the username
and i think admin or password is the actual default password.
