Here's one for all of you!

My sister took out a HSBC personal loan for her boyfriend who had bad credit. The bank set up the loan payments (with her boyfriend sat next to her in the bank, fully open that the loan was for him) to bypass my account and go directly from the boyfriends account to the loan company.

Only because I don't know, can anyone explain if this was legal and if there is anything she can do about it as he has not stopped paying the darn thing.

Something not quite right here me thinks, firstly you say bypass "MY" account, i.e your account. Then you say he has NOT stopped paying it.

I think maybe you are asking for yourself, and not for someone else because you are the boyfriend and just split with your GF who took out a loan for you and you want to know if you can get away with not paying the repayments as your now not on speaking terms with her and think you should not have to. I think im about right in saying that. Some fair assumptions there, but i have seen it all before i am afraid, wisdom. :rotfl:
