Does anyone have any experiences or opinions about the above central heating insurance?

They are a bargain £8.99 per month, or £99 for the year.

Thanks in advance

Hi herman. An annual check can cost as much as £60 p.a., so on the surface this sounds a bargain.
The downside is that Homecall will be setting the £500 limit.
You need someone with experience of a claim.
I for one, self insure, so already have £1000 towards repair costs and the interest on this money will pay for this years inspection.
    Your post reads like spam.

Haha, not spam at all but given I posted this in more than one place, I can understand why you might think that.

I actually phoned them up earlier, and found out the following:

Yes, £99 is a great price, but only includes a boiler "inspection", rather than service. If I wanted a service, it would be £160 for the year, which isn't advertised on their website.

Their cover is for "emergencies" only. If it's not an emergency, they won't come out. The example they gave me was that if only one radiator in one room of the house is not working, they don't class this as an emergency and therefore won't come out.

Given I've found that Domestic & General charge £15 per month, and I've used them before and they aren't too bad, think I'll give Homecall+ a miss!

These people do something similar....I got it when they were doing a promotion...£29 a year, but like you say, emergencies only...they decide. You might think differently if you up to your rs in water.

I'm looking at buying a HomeCall+ policy as well. But don't really know much about the service.
