Hi I'm not entirely sure this is the correct forum for this question but couldn't see a better fit anywhere.
My retired father has just sold his house in France and now has the money in his Credit Agricole account in France. He needs to transfer some of the money to the UK but is worried that he'll have to give a third of it away in income Tax.
What is the best way to get access to his funds? Some sort of transfer, withdraw the cash, Irish account? I really don't know what advice to give him....can anyone help please?

Find a Brit going on holiday or buying abroad and do a deal. Must be better than currency exchange. Can't you seek such an arrangement on e-bay or something?0
