I think posts here are about the Amex Platinum card. But see my post about the Goldfish Card to get a £10 credit.0

Hi, I too maxed out in the first 3 months beginning last March. Nearly there. Do the posters above have a result?!0

I think I have a solution.
My initial 3 month spend (5%) was £2,508 (5016 points) and in the next 9 months (0.5%) I spent £122 (122 points) resulting in a total of 5138 points.
My cash payout was (2508*0.05) + (122*0.005) = £126.01
((5016 points *2.5) + (122 points /2))/100 = £126.01
So I think the conversion formula (points to cashback in pence) is:
(M1 to M3 points *2.5) + (M4 to M12 points /2)
There will be further complications for the higher tiers of cashback of course.

You wont find out at the end of the 3 month period. The amount is not on the statement, its a case of asking them how much you have earned. Also
it isnt paid out until the 1st Aniversary of you taking out the card.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Did you get the moneyback in the same month but a year after you opened the account? I opened my account at the end of April/beginning of May but they are saying that it won't be paid until end of June/beginning of July.0 -

My account started Feb 08. The moneyback was credited on the Feb 09 statement (the 12th one) and reduced the payment Amex took in March 09.
If your 1st statement was in June 08, your moneyback should show on your June 09 statement to reduce your July 09 payment.0
