Printing through a Network

I have a Computer running Win98SE hard wired to my router and has access to my network.

Can someone please tell me how I can print a document on this Win98 computer using the printer attacted to my other computer also hard wired to the network running XP Pro?

On the computer with the printer attached, right click on it and select sharing to share it.

On the Win98 box, you'll need the printer drivers and then add a printer as normal but select "Network Printer" and browse for it. It'll then ask for the drivers and you're sorted.
  • just to add you may have to type in the name of the pc the printer is attatched to as well as the name of the printer (the shared name) e.g

    \\machinename\myprinter

obviously replace machinename with what your pc is called and myprinter with the name of the printer you used when you set it up to be shared.
