really pleased with printer, yes the cartridges are expensive - avoid the 37/38s as they are low volume. Ordered PG40 b/w and CL41 colour last week from www.cartridgepeople.com £11.95 and £14.45 respectively, postage is free.
will try the tips for ink and paper saving0 -
Got mine today. So far, so good.
Does anyone know roughly how many b/w prints I'll get from a cartridge with this printer?0 -
Own two Canon printers MP110 and a IP1000 and they both take the same cartridge and after having the originals refilled and having problems now get them from Lidl at £2.49 each, they also stock Epson cartridges too...good bargains as my kids get through loads copying for school0

Don't forget you can get it cheaper frm PCWorld using their price match, which they wiil do with Amazon, and you get an extra 10% of the difference between their price and Amazons' plus quidco if you order on the website for it for instore pickup. Give the cashier your reservation number then ask about their price match and say it is cheaper at Amazon.:Dac's lovechild0

Hi Guys,
I got this printer last year with the same cashback deal. The scanner and colour photocopier are great but the printer struggles to print colour images on photo quality paper.
THE INK CARTRIDGES ARE UPTO £18 EACH YOU'LL NEED ONE BLACK AND ONE COLOUR. YOU CANNOT GET COMPATIBLES TO WORK. THEY RUN OUT AFTER ABOUT 20 PAGES OF TEXT AND THE PRINTER DOESN'T RECOGNISE THEM SO IT KEEPS ASKING YOU TO CHANGE THE CARTRIDGE.
After about 4 months my printer just stopped working  and cannon asked me to foot the postage bill for the repair. £40 return postage via courier. I think not. I bought another printer.
Just a word of warning guys.

What’s the deal?
Canon is currently giving £15 cashback on its Pixma MP210 all-in-one printer/copier/scanner. The printer currently costs £36.78 including standard delivery at Amazon meaning after the cashback it’ll cost just £22. The Canon cashback offer ends 29 September.
What’s included?
It can be used as an (albeit slow) photocopier and scanner as well. Beware though, it doesn’t come with a USB cable, which you’ll need in order to print from it. While Amazon also sells cables, instead check cheaper sites such as Ebuyer or Dabs.
Can you find it cheaper?
Currently a search of price comparison sites Kelkoo, Pricerunner and Shopping.com shows Amazon as the cheapest for this particular printer.
Before you buy though it’s worth double checking again to ensure this is still the case. If you find it cheaper elsewhere please do click reply and leave a message below to let other MoneySavers know.
Aren’t the cartridges expensive though?
That depends where you buy them. Buy in places such as PC World and this may be the case yet sites such as Instore and Poundland sometimes have cheaper cartridges. Also check out the Consumables Board here on the MoneySavingExpert.com Forum for sources of cheap cartridges.
If you want some off the web right now, electronics retailer mymemory sells the colour cartridge for £16.99 and the black one for £12.99 (please post below if you've found 'em cheaper anywhere and I'll update this).
Many thanks to MoneySaver FortyFoot for spotting the deal below. This post has been inserted into the top of the thread to provide a detailed explanation.

Can some please tell me what it is Canon actually require a copy of? Is it the confirmation email your sent straight after purchase?
Thanks0 -
Welsh, I expect they'll want a copy of the delivery note that Amazon sends out with the printer. That's what I'll be sending them, anyway!0
