The cream side is to the window.
You need to go out of the house for a bit, escape the noise. xxxx
My living room has just been decorated, the smell of paint is knocking me, it's 'orrible :rolleyes:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

The noise has stopped now. They've probably stopped for a cuppa. Or finished the work, hopefully. OH has finished with the power washer as well, so calm has been restored.
I have hung the curtains with the cream side to the windows. Thanks for your help.
Now, breathe deeply, breathe deeply.

I bought some thermal lining from Rolls and Rems in Lewisham ( I think there's a branch in N London too) for £3.80/m:T
I asked the lady which side to face the window ( one side is white and waterproof texture, the other cream and softer brushed cotton texture); she tells me it's the 'nicer side' ie cream that faces the window....would be great to get this confirmed by others before i start to sew.
I also bought some gorgeous goldy coloured organza ( £2/m) to lay on top and give a 'shimmer' effect. It would look better if I lined the cream side facing this organza, but if it's meant to be the other way round.....Does it actually make a difference???0 -
