My boyfriend has been in 'charge' of the household bills for the last year but now with my input we are looking to change energy suppliers.
We currently have a dual package with N power, paying £51 per month for gas and £52 for electric. Horrifying price hikes too.
I have been looking on line today at moving suppliers. Do you think it is still best to go for a capped plan? The best I have found will be dearer than now by some £150 per year at the present price of gas and electric. Of course if we have big increases again we will be fine.
Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can still go on a capped plan and if the news is anything to go by, it's still a good idea as prices are still set to increase early next year.
E.On have one currently at no extra cost to their standard rates, fixed until Nov 09, or price protection capped until July 2010 at slightly higher rate than their standard rates. Which I think are less than what NPower increased theirs by.Dannii_B
