DSA stole my money!

I had a driving test back in April 2008 and it was cancelled and we were told by a DSA examiner that the test wouldn't go ahead because the were on strike. My instructor and I went to the test center on time. The examiner told us that and I will be reimbursed by the DSA for the test fee, the 2 hour lesson I had before the test and for the driving school car hire totalling to £85.
I have since been trying to get my money back but the DSA insist that I did NOT even turn up and apparently my name was called and I was not there. What do I do now as the DSA seem determined not to give my money back. My only witness is my AA instructor who is more that happy to support me in getting my money back and the driving school say there is nothing the can do. I even told the DSA the name of the examiner that turned us away. I think I may have to take this further , any ideas who need to contact now? I need my money back NOW! HELP!!!!!!!

Perhaps you could try here: https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp
The only snag is that you cant sue government departments and I don't know if DSA comes under this category.0 -
You should first write to them a letter demanding the money to be paid up within 7 days or you will take the matter to the small claims courts (link on above post), send the letter recorded. If you dont hear anything from them then proceed with the online claim, you will get back all your money plus court fee cost, even claim for you telephone and postal expenses. Goodluck, hope you'll get all your money soon, dont stress yourself on it, u will get your money back.0
