Whats a "Head unit"? is it just a car CD player, or what?

I would add a second vote for this model if you can find one, I think its been supersceded so may be some clearance ones around. Looks fantastic (no tacky displays), sound quality is brilliant and powerful and the Bluetooth works very well. Might be worth a stroll into Halfords as they used to have loads so it may be on offer as its no longer on the website now
