Actions needed when switching to dual fuel supplier
We're switching to a dual fuel (gas & electricity) deal with British Gas on September 18th. They already supply our gas but can somebody please advise whether we need to do anything regarding taking a meter reading for electricity on the 18th and notifying it either to Southern Electric (current supplier) or British Gas. We've received no notification about any action requred by us and are somewhat mystified as to how the switchover works in terms of being accurately charged for our electricity supply going forward. from Sept 18th.
Also, will we receive separate bills for gas and electricity in future on the duel fuel supply deal, or is everything lumped together? Thanks.

Take readings and keep them in a safe place, at least until after your first bill on with your new supplier and the final bill from your old.
You should get contacted and asked for one but if you don't check your new and final bill details and if you've lost out in the figures used get them to amend it.0 -
Thank you. We'll be sure to do this.0
