Accident, sickness, or redundancy insurance...help!

Hello -
I've been looking into getting some income protection insurance in case of accident, sickness or redundancy. I feel this is important given what in happening in the economy atm and also feel that my company is at risk of going under. I already have a joint life/terminal illness policy.
Does anyone have any recommendations in terms of companies to approach? Is it best to get all three wrapped up in one policy or to take out separate policies (i.e. redundancy insurance and accident/sickness insurance)? Also, it seems like some policies are meant to cover your mortgage and others are income and this has an effect on your entitlement to benefits - what should I be thinking about re: this? We do have a mortgage and small loan and do not have PPI currrently.
Any help, pointers, or ideas are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Wendybird
