Hi
Not sure is anyone can help, hubby & bought a digital recorder with freeview included. When we try to record the channel we are recording starts to stutter, the picture keeps freezing & the sound drops in & out. Does anyone know if this is because out freeview signal is weak, or is it a fault of the box. I'd like to know what I'm talking about when I return the box. We are not in a freeview area, but the salesman assured hubby that it would all work anyway!
TIA.

It will probably be down to your signal strength, Im sure you can look on the freeview and see what strength of signal you have.
Whats a concern is that the salesman just said it would work, when your not in a area with suitable reception. I think he may have been telling you a fib to get the sale myself I would take it back speak to the manager and get him a telling off."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Hi
Thanks shadow dragon, I shall return it, I'm very annoyed as hubby had his white stick with him & did explain that he couldn't read what was on the box in poor light. I will give the salesman a piece of my mind, though I have to admit it doesn't help that hubby is terminally gullible.

Sales people suck and you take everything they say with a pinch of salt (especially if they are on commission). I find the big chain stores are the worst.
Your only solutions is maybe to get new aerials installed and a signal booster, (find a local aerial installer, they can advise on whether or not its worthwhile) Or go for one of the basic Sky or Cable packages."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal.
