Hi, my sig has inexplicably been removed this evening. I had links to CCCS, Citizens Advice and National Debtline. This was approved in November last year, 21/11/2007 to be precise. I realise that my name never appeared in the 'approved' list, but it WAS approved. The fact it wasn't added to the list wasn't really my fault.
I requested to place the links as a response to debt vultures using the names of these organisations for paid advertising for google. tigerfeet 2006, myself and one or two others linked to these sites to raise awareness amongst vulnerable forum users who have debt problems, as you can see in this thread:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=602417&page=2&highlight=silvercharming+sig+links
We had a mini campaign going, as per this thread:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=603856&highlight=silvercharming+sig+links
Incidentally, those same Debt vultures are now trading on Martin's good name and this site's reputation.
Anyway, I would like to ask for my sig back if that's okay, and also to point out that the way it has happened, ten months down the line, has been pretty poorly handled. A bit of discretion might have been a good thing - surely there should be some record that is regularly updated to stop this happening?! And if whoever removed it had looked at the sig and how long it has been live for, they might have realised.
I spend a great deal of my time helping people on this site and I've been made to look like some spammer who can't be bothered to read the rules properly. I know it's only a sig but I am pretty upset about it and feel like my hard work has been thrown back in my face.
/end rant.
