Freeview- no rooftop aerial,Help please.

Hi,
Wondered if someone may be able to help, please excuse my lack of technical knowledge.
Yesterday we bought a digital lcd tv with freeview for ds room.
We live in an area where nobody has rooftop aerials as all houses were connected to cable, we thought we'd be ok with an indoor aerial to pick up the freeview but we can't. It's picking up analogue (not very clear!).
Our lounge tv is connected to sky +.
I have checked our area receives freeview and it does but is it going to be possible without a rooftop aeriel?
Thanks for reading.

Would love to know myself actually. Have always wanted FreeView but was only have an internal aerial sitting on top of my bedroom TV also. I've always wondered: is the external aerial necessity to watch FV just 'hype'; I mean, can one watch FV with just internal?? Thanks.

We have a loft aerial and watch freeview. But we have to connect a booster as well.

  • Thanks,
Just to confuse the situation a little, we have a spare sky box and we're wondering if going through the sky would be an easier way of getting digital tv with no rooftop aerial?

So long as you have a CARD for it to work then you can yes. If not then you can get a FREESAT box which uses the same dish as sky.
