A quick question if you have one, does the fan run all the time ? as this seems to be noisy and throws out loads of heat.
thanks

Hi
Thats what they are supposed to do, fan is gas/air premix to burner . If it's running all the time then your programmer is on 24/7, or it's faulty.

I thought that when the timer comes on it should then start running, at the moment there is no difference in the noise or the heat it radiates.0

Hi
Your post has no detail . I mean you don't say how long have you had the boiler ,are you in rented?
I can only assume there is a fault somewhere, the boiler is getting a permanent live supply this is either the programmer or an internal fault. Call the installer or Glowworm.

I have recently had it fitted into my home, I have had several issues with my plumber and to be honest he lost the instructions so I had to get them myself and he has not commissioned it yet, I have a siemens rwb29 programmer again this is new, my electrician has been back and checked the electrical instulation between the 2 and confirmed it is switching when the programmer commands it, but fan continues to run on the boiler. The only way I can stop the fan running is to manually toggle to the off button on the boiler.

Hi... 3 things...
1. Your 'plumber' should be reported to CORGI..is he/she even registered?
2. The installation must be notified to Building Control and a Building Regulations compliance certificate issued.
3. Turn off the boiler and don't use it until it has be installed and commissioned according to Glow-worm's specifications by a CORGI.

Hi Canucklehead
He is corgi registered, and he keeps putting off the commissioning of the boiler, i have spoken to him over the phone several times about this running fan and he kept telling me it was wired in wrong hence me getting my elecricain out. I am concerned he is just going to fop me off about this fan, hence trying to find out if it is correct with the running, I owe him his 3rd and final payment for the work, do you think that if the boiler is faulty i should have a new replacement? so let it be mended.
thanks again0 -
Hi.... your 'CORGI' has' installed' a gas appliance but has not commissioned it...report him to CORGI i.e. you don't know if the boiler is safe. If there is a fault with the boiler or his installation which your installer is unable or unwilling to address, then he/she needs to contact the manufacturer and have a Glow-worm technical engineer attend. Tbh, you have found yourself lumbered with a 'cowboy' who has inadequate/non-existent diagnostic and installation skills. Just out of interest, why did you decide to engage his services instead of using one of your other quotations?

I used him because he has done work for friends/family before and they had been happy with his work, he has taken on young lads to do the work and this is where the problems have started. He has not actually done any work him self. I have had a house rebuild and he has installed the heating and ware, one of the lads did't seal a pipe from my bath and this has resulted in my brand new ceiling being cut and in the process of being filled!. Total nightmare. Would never use again. Thanks for all your info.0
