Don't know if anyone else has noticed this....but running this on various pc/laptops has shown different results windows...
e.g run on my XP pc, I get a result window which includes a performance graph, and a pretty accurate description of what's in there (checked with CPU-Z). It correctly id's the MOBO and everything else too...the pc was put together by a (then) local reputable shop.
on my dad's iQon, running XP, no performance graph, and it struggles to id the MOBO and everything else as well....will check with CPU-Z next time I'm down there...
on my Advent laptop running vista, it's even worse for results...not even recognising I've got any RAM fitted at all
just states max of 3 GBs can be fitted, ignores the current 1GB, and can't tell me what will be compatable....
Anyone got any ideas/similar experiences ??

I have never had problems with Crucial being inaccurate. But that's not to say they can't be.
Do you think it has more problems with machines running Vista and or very old machines?
Anyway I'm going to run a scan on this and my two laptops and see what happens.
Will report back shortly.

Think deffo that they haven't sorted the vista-based system scanner yet...which I suspect is more to do with how vista works, but thought they'd have cracked it by now !! Not really an issue for my lappy at present, I'm not planning on opening it up 'till it's out of warranty. However, the fact that it's not so good with my dad's XP iQon is more concerning........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

It worked ok on my three.
It couldn't identify make or build on my desktop which is hardly surprising because it is an exclusive hand crafted PC and very rare indeed.
But it did correctly identify my motherboard/installed ram/available slots etc.*Make every day Caturday*0 -
