maximizing a window

Since installing the latest driver from nvidia I find that when I click on a link that the new window is always half size. Is there a way to fix this, I have tried the usual stretching out the window and then clicking on exit to see if it works but it doesn't . Please can someone help. Thankyou.

  • Thats because your driver has upped the graphics resolution.

Have you used the max/min button (second one in on top right) that always works for me.

  • Thanks for your reply. I do use the max button each time but its a nuisance. I know there is a way to fix this but I can't remember how.
  • Try this
    1. Open a single IE window to the smaller size.
    2. Drag the corners of the window until it completely fills the screen. Do not use the maximize button to enlarge the window.
    3. Hold down the Ctrl key and keep it depressed. Using the mouse, click File and then Exit on the menu bar. Do not use the "X" in the upper right corner to close the window.
    4. IE should now open in a full window.
    5. If IE still opens to a smaller size, repeat the above steps, but substitute the Shift key for the Ctrl key.
