They're just other (less common) ways of accessing e-mail. There's no reason why you couldn't have a single e-mail account which was accessible by all of these methods.
Incidentally, IMAP is similar to POP3 but much more advanced - it allows you to upload messages to your account as well as downloading them, and allows mail to be kept in subfolders on the server (rather than just on your own computer). HTTP is, as far as I know, only supported by Outlook and no providers actually use it (Microsoft ditched it last year because it was too easy for spammers to abuse it).0
