I always seem to be playing catch up on the comps as lots of commitments get in the way and I am often entering comps at the last minute. I do understand that comps end at different times on the last day but lots end at 11.59pm. So it is a little upsetting when I am working my way through those with time left to find the rug pulled out from under me as they all disappear in the afternoon. Please could you leave moving them to game over until people like me have had their last chance. I do appreciate all the work that people put in though so thanks to all the posters and forum organisers.

Hi Ruth, why don't you do a search in 'game over' in this case. It should not be very time-consuming to find them.
I enter competitions seriously twice a week; and yes it does take a few hours to enter few (average) days in advance but this gives me more control over my time in other hectic days. It is only a matter of managing your time.

Can someone tell me please (or direct me to link) on how to insert an image that is not taken from a Website? Thank you x

You need to upload it to the web using an image host such as Imageshack, Tinypic etc. Once uploaded, they'll give you a url that goes directly to your image which you can then paste on the forum.

Scuse me for butting in and probably being a bit thick, but Iwas wondering if anyone could answer me a question about the ITV Bingo Night Live. If you get your cards before the show starts, do you have to be online during the show or not? I stayed up on Thursday to "do" the bingo and didn't get anywhere close and I'd like not to have to stay up if I can as am on with children until tomorrow afternoon and my idea of fun is NOT them running into my room at 7 am when I've been up till gone 1. :)

    TIA

may i add also that there is nothing stopping you hopefully to pop into game over and enter comps from there

It is a PITA to find them all in Game Over tho, considering there are several years posts in there. I tend to enter stuff as it gets posted but I do check the comps ending in case I've missed comps either because I'm dense (normal ;) ) or because they were first posted before I joined, or was away on holiday or summat. It's not as straightforward as sorting the threads and finding the appropriate date.

;) I fully understand what you're saying RuthMarianna, however I think we have to bear in mind that the BG's are volunteers, and they also have 'real lives' (apparantly there's a world out there without computers - I myself have yet to see it - i'm actually quite scared of life without comping!!) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
The Rock Chick, she say 'courtesy costs nowt' - spread the word! :D

No you don't. I get my new cards every day when I do my daily list of comps and I won £50 last night.

I need to ask folks a huge favour, actually 2 huge favours!

1 - If you are posting something that you think would really be useful in the Comping Guide can you either post it in the Guide thread as well as in here or even just send me a pm about it please? When I am not up to date with stuff, little things can slip by me & I'd hate to miss something useful & important :)

2 - If Al mac has said something can someone please, please quote it? I'm reading through after coming back from hols & came across this:

I'd say yes to that, pop a note on the end of the Comping Guide, VG should pick it up :)

Didn't get a note, or if there was it was Al Mac'd before I got back from hols & I didn't see it :(

OK 3 huge favours - can anyone remember what site it was that was Al thought might have been spammy & kipper agreed?
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

Prize4u, I must have forgot to PM you. Sorry.

No worries! Thanks for remembering which site it was! :j I'll get it added quick smart :D

On another note I'll try to add all the other bits I've spotted on this thread into the Guide at some point today too! Some great stuff while I was away on holiday - note to self: go on holiday more... any excuse :rotfl:

Don't know why I'm excited at the thought of adding a new site to the Spammy Sites list but I am :o I guess one less site trap for MSE Compers to fall into!
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
