I only ever tick to receive info or newsletters if I really want them and I've often won from sites I've said no to.

And the place for this discussion is in the Discussion thread, not the Comps posting area.

I am of the male species and enter all types of competitions even if the prize is geared towards the female species, as I have a wife and two daughters who eagerly await me winning something for them.

I won a prize a couple of months back and received the WEM from the magazine running the competition with the company dealing with the prizes being copied in. I heard nothing after six weeks so emailed the company with a read receipt on to confirm that the email was received. This was duly deleted before being read. A bit suspicious, I thought I would give them another couple of weeks to see what happens. Another email was sent off and this was replied to quite quickly and the gist of the email was that because the competition I had entered was geared towards women they thought that I would be putting the prize up on ebay and could I nominate a female friend or family member to receive the prize.

I am an easy going person and replied saying basically no problems, I had entered the competition for my wife and daughters and just put my wife's name as the addressee. I could see other compers blowing their top on the reply I got and not answered in the way I did.

This then got me thinking, if one person/company takes this attitude at men entering competitions where the prize is for a woman, how many others do the same. How many entries or prize winners are being discarded because they are the wrong sex.

Do you still have the Terms and Conditions of the Comp?

The magazine running the competition have had no qualms about me winning it is just the company dishing out the prize. The entry form allowed Mr to be added and the email from the prize giver said the comp was geared towards women not exclusive to women. I could be a crossdresser as far as they know and wanted the prize for myself.

I'm pretty sure that as long as you fulfilled your side of the contract and entered within the terms and conditions, no-one can legally withhold a prize from you. This is something that the promoters and the website should have hammered out before any competition was put up.

If you want to take it further, you could email the ISP and ask for their views.

I haven't been on here for a few weeks now, but where have the competition compilations gone? Poeple used to arrange them by the end date.

Hm, is that why I'm not winning?
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.
