I envy those of you that cook from scratch, I can't cook ANYTHING!! apart from cake.

Its depressing, everything I try to cook goes wrong and I end up throwing it away (not good when you're trying to budget :o)... I dread to think what my attempt at bread would be like surprised-023.gif
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

Thanks for all your tips. My DS is like the people you see on 'freaky eaters' and I know I'm partly responsible for him being that way. He has serious psychological issues with food. He doesn't eat *any* fruit. The only veg he'll eat is baked beans, tin toms (if part of a sauce) and carrots if I hide them in a sauce. He's 12 but has had these food issues as long as I can remember and I feel like I've tried every trick in the book. I despair. DD is brilliant and will at least try most foods once.

best thing to do if they dont like onions and peas and cooked carrots blend them in and add at the same time as you put the fresh toms in at the end,it thickens it up so you dont need to reduce to much,
unless you use a jar then id add it when you add the sauce but add a little water

I reckon I would be able to get away with camouflaging food if I had a blender - however my stupid, idiot ex broke mine. He was too lazy to mash potatoes, so stuck them in the blender, then when the blade stopped turning he thought it would be a good idea to shove a wooden spoon in (whilst the blades were turned on) = totally ruined blender.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j
