I have so much respect for everyone that cooks from scratch. love0030.gif love0030.gif love0030.gif
My dad was a chef so I'm no stranger to cooking. My difficulty with cooking from scratch is that my children (ds in particular) are really fussy. In the past I have spent several hours preparing a meal... only for them to screw their nose up and leave it.
Once, I decided to do a slow cooked Somerset Pork casserole in a cider sauce. I thought it tasted delicious. The kids hated it = most of it in the bin.
For xmas dinner last year I said they could have whatever they like as I didn't want to slave over a Turkey & trimmings if it was just going to end up binned. DS chose .........A Rustlers Microwave Burger sick0001.gif sick0025.gif
I do make my spag bol/chilli etc from scratch though (and hide mashed up carrots in it so that DS can't see them)!! ;):D
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

That'd have been quiet compared to the week I've had  ! Had a moan on page 12 about it.

ps still no sign of Jamie but I'm pretty sure he's at Calais' house, will phone his work tomorrow to see if he turns up there

best thing to do if they dont like onions and peas and cooked carrots blend them in and add at the same time as you put the fresh toms in at the end,it thickens it up so you dont need to reduce to much,
unless you use a jar then id add it when you add the sauce but add a little water

Aww, cheers Bella xx Not very much they don't eat really. They all eat veg but I've run out of ideas. Did home-made pizzas for a while but I make such a mess + the kids helped.....would take ages to clear up, kitchen looked like a flour mill!!

Toniq - yeh, it was a nightmare! Took me & hubby and 3 of the kids 2 hours to get the house in some sort of order. Found out tonight he was trying to start a fight with a neighbour we haven't ever spoken to! What I didn't tell you was that he stormed off after screaming at us for half an hour "you can't effing talk to me like that" and challenging his dad to a fight outside and when I stepped in I nearly got it. That's why his dad is so angry at him. Little one's were terrified, they'd never witnessed anything like this esp in their own home. His parting shot was that he'd been smoking for the past 6 months and what did I think of them apples. Don't know whether to hug him or choke him when I see him, just now I want to choke him.
