  • One more thing, if you think you'll need an extra Wii Remote these are around £25 BUT if you buy the game Wii Play which IIRC is £28 on Amazon you get the Wii Remote free with it so for an extra few £ you get the game as well. Wii Nunchunk is only for certain games so for now I would stick with just the one in the package until you think you need it.

    morning all

am thinking of getting a wii (and wii fit) but have a few questions

    1. how does it fix to the tv - is it through a scart socket?
    2. what does the package normally come with - is there a charger or how long do batteries last etc
    3. on the wii fit do you have to put your weight etc - cos I wouldnt want to have my weight so others in family could look at it:D
    4. any good deals about? have subscribed to the thread somewhere on MSE that is for wii fit availaibility etc but thought if anyone knew of anywhere...:D
    5. what do you think of the wii fit?

    thanks
    1. Scart, composite (the yellow/red/white leads) and facility for component video (connection for HD) but no lead is supplied
    2. The batteries are just your bog standard AAs but last quite a while, you get just one remote and one nunchuck (necessary for two handed games like boxing) so have to buy another set (about £40+) if you want two players playing at the same time.
    3. You can probably use it without doing the fitness test at the beginning but I'm pretty sure there's an option to hide your results anyway.
    4. Don't know about the Wii because we bought ours last year but when I bought Wii Fit, Tesco was the cheapest by about a tenner - keep an eye on HotUKDeals as well as MSE.
    5. Brilliant! It's an amazing idea to make keeping fit in your own living room a lot more fun. The more you use it, the more new exercises are unlocked, so of course, you do more exercise than planned because you want to try out this new exercise! :rotfl:

We're have steak burgers (good find in the freezer last night!) and jacket potatoes instead. And I might bake a cake for dessert if we have the ingredients in :o

Thanks. :) Hubby is sat infront of it again this morning, it's looking better than yesterday but still nowhere near right (hubby can't get into his user at all!) but at least AVG is running at the moment and it's picked up a Trojan horse so fingers crossed - although hubby is still muttering about reinstalling Windows and wiping the hard disk! _pale_  I'm completely lost without it, I hate this damned lappy. :(

I know it's a bit late now, but once it's sorted again, if you use FF there's an add-on called Foxmarks which synchs all your bookmarks between more than one pc, and also stores them on a remote server for you, so if you do have to reformat that's at least one thing you can get back easily! :)

I've just found a Skype phone in my shed

I finally got around to putting away the grass seed I bought on Tuesday (dragged mum along to use her over 60s 10% Wyevale discount card ;) ) and I found a phone had been shoved under the door. It's postmarked 22nd August so it's been there a while, but I never had a card through to say it had been left

Going to have a play now. My old phone has no camera, so I'm hoping I can get a few piccies of Buffy - she's totally camera phobic, but I might be able to trick her with this if she doesn't realise what I'm up to :rotfl: :rotfl:
