Ipod classic help please

Hi I got a ipod classic 160gb for my birthday i just connected it to my laptop and it has downloaded all the songs off my laptop onto my ipod! they are not in a order that i can find anything and I dont know how to delete half the songs i dont want!

Any help appreciated

If you are using Itunes, you can use that to synch your IPOD and decide what music you want on or off your IPOD.

The IPOD gives you many ways to search, including album, artist, track etc. Are you sure you have all the menu's open on the IPOD?

I dont have a clue I've just connect it to itunes and restored it so its clear. then do i just tick the boxes for the songs i want on it?

You may find it easier to make a playlist (FILE, NEW PLAYLIST) and then just drag and drop all the songs you want in there. When you connect your IPOD you should then have an option in ITUNES to manually synch your files. Then tick the playlist you want synched.

There are some good video tutorials here, have a look and see what you need.

As for the IPOD menu, when you turn on your IPOD if you go to SETTINGS you can select what you SEE on the main menu. So make sure you have the options ticked that you need (such as ALBUM or ARTIST). Hth.
