well you can buy XP for about that much and do it yourself. Then you have the disk, whereas the shop wont supply you with a copy of xp."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Do you just put the disk in then? Can stupid people do it?:o
It's got some sort of pathetic little notepad thingy at the mo, would that need uninstalling?0 -
yeah you just put the CD in the drive restart the machine (you may have to enter the BIOS with F8 at start up to change the boot sequence so the CD drive boots before the hard drive).
It gudies you through the installation with prompts ect, then once windows is on you need to install your drivers. Can get XP on a machine in about half hour. Good two hours to get it fully operational with updated drivers/software ect."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. Seriously do it yourself, it's not difficult..Desperate people do desperate things:D
just rung a small repair place and they said they can re-install with the sticker thing for £60 - does that sound about right? Said it would include antivirus, but we already have one installed - does that mean they will take everything off it?
