E: 15/09 Win £5,000 and a Golden Joystick

http://www.e4.com/joystick/enter.html

How to enter

We're on the look-out for the best Flash-based web game in the world, so if you dabble in the dark arts of Adobe Flash, glean satisfaction from a cool ActionScript, and have itchy developer’s fingers (nasty!), then we want you to send us something you know will knock our socks off...
Step 1

Read the rules! You're already doing it now, so that's a good start, but please follow them to the letter ‘cos if you make a mistake we may have to disqualify your entry. If you have a question, take a peek at the FAQ.
Step 2

Get your entry in before the deadline: that’s at 10am precisely on Monday 15th September 2008. Soon after, our judging panel will convene to sift through all the entries and pick their favourites.
Step 3

Complete an entry form. If you want to submit different games, we’d be delighted to see them, but each entry must be accompanied by its own entry form. Don’t send the same game in forty times, as that won’t improve your chances and it will probably just annoy our email elves.
Step 4

Build an amazing game (or dig out and dust down one that you have built in the last year), according to our spec sheet, below.

Your game must:
 • Be built in Adobe Flash and submitted in SWF format. No FLA, FLV or EXE files, thank you, and certainly nothing more esoteric.
 • Be no more than 720px wide and 600px high. We’re happy to receive smaller games, but any bigger and they won’t fit on our pages. Take a look at some of our other games to see what we mean.
 • Include the E4.com Grand Master Flash sticker symbol somewhere in the game – we suggest the loading screen is a good place to put it – and a link to e4.com/joystick.
 • Not exceed 5Mb total document weight. That’s a lot of filesize right there, so if your game requires more, consider sending us a slimmed down or shorter version.
 • Comply with E4.com’s standard Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy and the E4.com Grand Master Flash Competition special terms and conditions, as set out below. Make sure you read ‘em. We cannot stress that enough.
Step 5

Attach your game and entry form to an email and send it to joystick@e4.com. No, really, it’s that simple!

The best of bally British luck to each and every one of you.

Special Terms & Conditions
 • To enter you must email your game and a completed entry form to joystick@e4.com. Incomplete forms may not be considered by the judges.

 • The ten entries shortlisted by E4’s panel of judges will be put forward to a public vote. • Entries must not have been published online anywhere prior to Tuesday 31st July 2007.
 • Your game must not feature advertising or promotional links to other web sites.
 • Your game must be self-contained and not include client-server APIs or calls in order to stream or otherwise communicate content from, into or around the game. • By submitting your entry into the competition you grant Channel 4 a non-exclusive right to publish your entry on the website.
 • A selection of entries will appear on E4.com. ALL valid entries will be viewed by the judges.
 • Your submission is governed by the E4 Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Please read them before you submit your entry.
