Terms and conditions

1. The prize draw is open to all UK residents over the age of 50, with a permanent UK address, except employees of Saga Group Limited, their families or anyone connected with the prize draw.
2. The prize is a year’s free petrol or diesel up to the value of £5,000, which will be paid to the winners by cheque. The actual amount each winner will receive will be based on a) the average number of miles driven in a year, according to the information supplied for the quote/policy; b) the manufacturer’s official mileage per gallon for the make and model of vehicle; and c) the average price per litre of petrol/diesel obtained from the AA website on the 21 July 2008– 119.7 p/litre petrol and 133.3 p/litre diesel. Entries close on 7, 15, 23 and 30 September 2008 for the September draw. Entries close on 9, 16, 23 and 31 October for the October draw.
3. There will be eight weekly prize draws during September and October 2008. One entry into the prize draw will be given for every person requesting a Saga Motor Insurance, Motorhome Insurance or Van Insurance quotation during each weekly prize draw period. If the person goes on to take out a policy during the same draw period, a second entry into the prize draw will be given. The draw periods are: 1–7 September 2008, 8–15 September 2008, 16–23 September 2008, 24–30 September 2008, 1–9 October 2008, 10–16 October 2008, 17–23 October 2008 and 24–31 October 2008.
4. A maximum of one quote entry and one policy entry per product per household.
5. No purchase necessary. To enter without a quote or policy purchase, send your name, address, contact telephone number and the make and model of your car (proof of mileage and vehicle ownership may be required) to: Free Motor Fuel Prize Draw, Saga Motor Insurance, The Saga Building, Enbrook Park, Folkestone, Kent CT20 3SE. Customers who enter via this route will receive two entries into the prize draw. The day the entry is received by the Marketing Department will be deemed the entry date.
6. Each winner will be the first customer randomly selected in a weekly computerised draw. The draws will take place on the Wednesday following the individual closing dates.
7. Saga Services Limited reserves the right to alter the terms of the prize draw, provided an alternative prize is of an equivalent value.
8. Entries over the telephone will not be accepted if a specific source reference number was requested to enter the prize draw, but not given.
9. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. The winners will be notified by telephone or post within 21 days of the draws taking place.
11. Saga Services Limited reserves the right to select an alternative winner if unable to contact the original winning customer within 21 days of the draw taking place or in the event of any winner being unable to prove adherence to these rules.
12. Saga Services Limited reserves the right to publish the winners’ photographs, names and home counties in post–event publicity.
13. The winners’ names may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Free Motor Fuel Prize Draw, Saga Motor Insurance, The Saga Building, Enbrook Park, Folkestone, Kent CT20 3SE.
14. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
15. Entry to the prize draw is deemed acceptance of the rules.
