Dishwashers

I have been thinking about buying a dishwasher but don't know where to start, can anyone recommend one.
To be honest i never fancied one as my friends had them and i remember the glassware used to to look really shabby and scratched after a few washes, but my sister-in-law has just bought one and says she's sorry she didn't buy one years ago.
Any advice appreciated.

  • I have just read some good reviews on the Bosch sgs45co2g,it gets A ratings for washes, drying and energy.
  • hi little minx

im on my 5th dishwasher. ive had indesit and beko and they both were absolute rubbish. ive got a whirlkpool one now and its excellent, had it for about 2 years and the glasses ect are still sparkling. the only thing i would say is cheap tablets are a false economy.

Get any John Lewis make. They are German made (by bosch) and give a 3 year guarantee.

I should add that I bought a Beko, it lasted a year and one month, but by this point other things went in our house and I got used to John Lewis. I will never EVER buy a cheap machine again. When our washing machine goes, I will buy a John Lewis as well. They give you a 3 year guarantee and their stuff is really good. I Was going to buy a Meile but they gave a 10 year guarantee, I don't think they do anymore!!!!!

I got a Hotpoint, its OK.

My friend has a Melie (sp?)

Anyway, instead of a cutlery basket, it has a cutlery drawer in the very top.

My next one will have this.
  • Dixons have the bosch model i looked at earlier for £230,seems a good price.
  • I will take a look at the John Lewis website now.
    Thanks.

I have a Miele and would definitely recommend them. (Also for washing machines, vacuum cleaners, etc.)

    Not cheap but fabulous quality.

Have you got the one with the cutlery drawer, instead of basket?
