Talktalk - 8 days without service and counting

I'm writing on behalf of my sister who has been without Talktalk home phone and broadband for 8 days. Whenever she calls the helpline in India, she is told that an engineer will investigate the problem. She hasn't seen one and certainly not heard of any resolution from them. It's impossible to speak to a manager and the operator's job seems to be merely to fob the customer off.

Does anyone have any idea how to rectify this? Have they dealt with Talktalk before? There seems no resolution in sight.

    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    yes the talk talk staff in india are pretty crap

    however the talk talk forum staff can get onto the problem the same day and keep you regulary updated
