Since I joined MSE it has amazed me just how rude some members are. In particular on the Travel, trips and holidays forum. I was brought up to say nothing if I had nothing nice to say and keep quite if I had nothing helpful to say. It would be nice if that could be applied here. I agree that Trip Advisor members are far more helpful in the long run.

i find the questions on trip advisor are a bit more sensible and then get a sensible answer, when the question starts i dont know where to go or when and i cant be bothered to trawl the tinternet to find out, that is inviting a less than helpfull reply

i have found having a generally pro ryanair attitude is seen as abusive to some, and not accepting or wanting more details about ryanair fairy tale experiences is just about as abusive as it gets

trip advisor is more the real deal forum, proper questions from serious travellers, moneysavingexpert tends to get travellers who shouldnt leave the house alone let alone the country

    exactly :D

I just booked a trip to S France Cap D'agde for 2 for £20 return for 12 nights from Bristol.

Car hire for £120 for the duration....bargain...so it cannot be that difficult:j

A nice car trip along the Costa Brava coast to Barcelona will be much enjoyed.

I booked a return flight, for 3 people, from Shannon to Palma Mallorca, in October, for €30 all in! That's for my wife, my son and me. €30 can't be bad. Hand luggage all the way mind.. ;)

awww thats wicked! that car hire is cheap as hell aswell. im so gonna just book a flight to a random place one day and make up a random trip. :)
  • i had a brief look on the site yesterday and found 10 returns to porto prtugal and murcia from birmingham straight away. not as cheap as the pound ones but still cheap! it allways amazes me how people book a pound flight then whinge about credit card/baggage fees. even with them added you couldnt get a taxi round here for that price:rotfl:
