cancelling dla appeal

hi
my husband gets dla at high rate care and low rate mobility.they are reducing is care to middle rate in october.i wrote to appeal as nothing as changed.since then we received a phonecall asking my husband questions.they then said we would hear a decision in 2 weeks.rang today and have been told its going to a tribunal.this worries me as i fear that we could lose everything.can we cancel the appeal and accept the change in money.i should receive the forms tomorrow.

    Yes you can cancel the appeal, it is probably best to put it in writing to the DWP that you are withdrawing the appeal.

    Healy's right and you can do this. There is another way - your husband will shortly be sent a TAS1 from through the post with the appeal documents. This is sent out by the Disability and Carers Service and asks if you want to go ahead with the appeal. You can complete this with a 'no'. Alternatively if you don't return the form the appeal will be struck out anyway.
