Reduced tariff for medical conditions?

Hi all,
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on this one.
My partner has a medical condition which means she feels the cold much more than the rest of us. The condition is thyroid related and is incurable. She already receives free prescriptions as ahe will be on medication for the rest of her life. Without this she gets tired easily and eventually becomes ill. One side effect of the condition is that she is always cold and often sits with several layers of clothes on as well as both the heating and gas fire in the lounge. Some days she just cannot get warm. If I'm in the house it can get so hot I have to go outside just to cool down.
What I was wondering is if there was some sort of essential user/social tariff she could switch to to save a few quid over the winter. I have already helped her change her gas and elec for the cheapest available.
If there is such a tariff that could help, the only problem may be that she works full time and perhaps may not be elegible but who knows until I find out more.
Thanks for reading
James.

Every energy provider has a 'vulnerable peoples' tariff, and payable to a set criteria, eg, low income.
Doubt your partner would qualify.
This low tariff is often no cheaper than an account run on- line.
If your partner is mobile, perhaps more exercise would help.0
