Conversion of Garage to Playroom

We live in a 3 bed end of terrace , and are looking to convert the garage to a playroom before we end up sleeping with Thomas the Tank !!
We are in North London , as I know this makes a difference .
How much would you expect a quote to be ?
We plan on knocking a hole in the back of the garage wall to make a door , and install a double glazed window at the front where the garage door is . We need to put some built in cupboards in , partly to conceal our utility meters and also to provide additional storage .
Hope there is a good builder reading this , who can gave us a guesstimate , and give me an idea how many pennies I will have to start saving ........Thanks x

Hi.
I can't give you a price but have a look at the following site, they often have quotes on there. Normally per m squared.
Apart from the window and the new door frame have you also considered that you may need heating? Rads and also what about the actual brick structure - garages are very cold and you mey need some cavity wall insulation or insulation for the roof?
There might be some good buliders & chippies on there who could help.
